First signs of pregnancy are nausea, vomiting, tenderness of breasts, implantation bleeding (light colored short bleeding occurring only in some females) etc. But they have similarity to pre-menstrual symptoms so they may create confusion. Absence of period is best sign to confirm pregnancy. Pregnancy test should be conducted at least 2 days after the expected date of pregnancy.
